The camp will be similar to the Spring break camp. 

We will be doing Tae Kwon Do, BJJ, and Wrestling.

We will have two snacks a day and lunch will be provided on Fridays.

The camp will be held at 603 B N. Saint Augustine Road.

Then Ms. Adkins a 2009 State Champion in XMA (whom used the Kama for tournaments) and Mr. Cox went over a variety of tricks and stylish moves to allow the students a variety of fun movements to develop their free-style over the coming months.

Of course a Leadership clinic would not be complete without some pad jumping! Then Finally the Pizza party to re-energize everyone that attended and work so hard during the morning.? Thank you to the instructors, the assistant instructors of the IP program and all the leadership student whom made this a successful and fun leadership clinic. Remember practice your ATA weapons daily and you will become more familiar and better with the weapon.

Well this past Saturday, July 11th, was the new sessions Leadership clinic, covering the use of the Jahng Bong or Bo Staff.?? School Instructor, Mitchell Church (5th degree black belt), turned the instuction over to his 3rd Degree Black Belts, World Champion Jennifer Powell, World Champion Tyler Giddens, State Champion Debra Cox, State Champion Don Cox, and Hahira Instuctor Mr. Smith.

Each instructor covered many different aspect of the Jahng Bong, Mrs. Cox went over the 9 basic strike areas and striking techniques.? While Mrs. Powell covered several blocks, and the importance of hand holding during blocks!?? Mr. Cox went over a few fancier moves like a palm spin and picking up your dropped Jahng Bong with your feet.? While Mr. Giddens went over the figure eight as well as a finger roll figure eight.

Mr Smith (Hahira Instructor) and Mr. Giddens (World Champion and Valdosta Instructor Trainee), appeared at the July 4th Valdosta Fair, on behalf of the Performance Martial Arts Academy’s Leadership Program, giving free instructions and demonstrations to the public.
While its fun to party with the public, breaking boards and hitting pads, the Leadership Program also passed on its goals such as: Courtesy, Respect, Honor Integrity, Loyalty, Perseverance, and a proper Attitude in life. all Part of the American Taekwondo Association’s Life Skills. After the hot Georgia day everyone enjoyed the spectacular fireworks show!

Well this past Saturday was the Leadership clinic, covering the art of “Ground Fighting”.?? Schoool Instructor, Mitchell Church (5th degree black belt), lead? all those that attended to an intense?and fun workout while learning and reviewing some great techniques?and terminology.? For example mount, guard, armbars, Kimura, triangle, escape from guard, etc. and then enjoyed pizza after class.

Ground Fighting is hand-to-hand combat which takes place while the combatants are on the ground, generally involving a degree of grappling. The term is commonly used in martial arts and combat sports to designate the set of techniques employed by a combatant that is on the ground, as opposed to techniques employed in stand-up fighting. Martial arts and combat sports (ie UFC or MMA) that emphasize ground fighting include Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Wrestling, Krav Maga, etc.
