Day 2 of Top 10 Tournament – World Championship

Well after? a good night sleep the team members started their 2nd day of the Top 10 Tournament, Songahm Taekwondo Forms and Sparring.

The Sibley’s took an early morning trip to the ATA Headquarters for a tour, including the museum area as well as visiting the Eternal Grand Masters Office

, the Grand Masters Office, and Mrs. Lee’s Office.? Followed by brief workouts in the Headquarters Do Jang, even practicing their forms in the Grand Masters private workout room.

Mr. Webb started the day back at the top 10 tournament, with Songahm Forms.? Followed by Ms. Hardy and Mrs. Powell also competing in Songahm Forms.

The Top 10 Sparring groups went next Mr. Matthews, and his daughter Ms. Matthews. Each of our teammates doing a great job, and demonstarting why each of them was selected to be in the Top 10 of the World.

Mr. Validores took a strong 3rd place finish in the Mens 30-39 (1st Degree Black Belt), while Ms. Johnson also took 3rd Place in the Girls 11-12-13 (2nd Degree Black belts).

Then after all that everyone took a quick shower, dinner and ran over to the 2009 Songahm Taekwondo World Championship Opening Ceremony, all I can say was what an amazing show! Also on a quick note, over 800 individuals watched the opening ceremony live right here on our performancemartialartsacademy.com website – WOWZA! I hope you all enjoyed. On a fun side note Mrs. Powell and Mrs. Matthews broke Ms. Hardy in on a little opening ceremony tradition – Funnel Cakes. After nearly (2) funnel cakes the suger high Ms. Hardy was on was way to much fun! Ms. Hardy announced that she could not wait til next year – for more Funnel Cakes!
