Goal Setting Sheet

“A Journey of a Thousand Miles begins with a Single Step”

A goal is simply a wish until you write it down. We would
like your son/daughter to take a few moments to write down the
goals that he/she intends to achieve during the next testing
cycle (about 8 weeks). Whether they are physical, mental, or
material, be as specific as possible when describing them and
review them on a regular basis. Complete this form and turn it
in during the first week of a testing cycle to receive a
Blue Star
for their Victory Patch.

Perfect Attendance

There are many different obstacles that can get in the way of
achieving our goals. We’d like to reward those students who
persevere past these daily challenges and make it to class every
day to work hard at achieving their next martial arts goal.

A High Five Award will be given to every
student who is able to attend at least two classes during a
given week.

Good Deed Sheet

This sheet is designed to reinforce and create positive
behavior and good habits in your child when he/she is at home,
school or in a public setting. Each time your child performs a
good deed, write down the deed and sign beside it.

Before each belt stripe test and before a rank test, your
child should bring the sheet to his/her instructor. Your child
will receive a High Five Award for
every good deed sheet turned in.

Good Habits Work Sheet

This sheet is designed to reinforce good habits at home. It encompass a list of daily activities, which you as the parent can add too. Each time your child completes these tasks at home you can mark it off, and sign the bottom. At the end of each week your child should bring the sheet to his/her instructor.

Your child will receive a High Five
Award
for every 5 days of practice. 5 High Five Awards
can be turned in to receive a Blue Star for his/her Victory
Patch.

Practice At Home Sheet

This sheet is designed to reinforce good practice habits in
your child when he/she is at home. Each time your child performs
10 minutes or more of home practice please write down the date,
what they practiced, how much time, and sign beside it. At the end of each week your child should bring the sheet to
his/her instructor. Your child will receive a High Five
Award
for every 5 days of practice. 5 High Five Awards
can be turned in to receive a Blue Star for his/her Victory
Patch.

Straight A’s or Improvement on a grade card Congratulations!

If you’re child has just received a grade card from their school
which shows straight A’s or an improvement in their scores,
we’d be excited to see it. Just bring in their grade card and
we’ll get you’re child an awesome new gold star
for their Victory Patch so that they can show off their hard
work.

Special Note From Teacher & School Award

If your child has just been given a special award or a
special note from a teacher, we’d love to see it. These notes
and awards are a great credit to the dedicated student and their
family. We would like to help to reinforce the positive things
that he/she did to earn these wonderful acknowledgements.

If the student can bring the award or note to the taekwondo
studio, we will present them with a gold star
to wear proudly on their Victory Patch

Tournament Attendance

Attending tournaments are great opportunities to take a student’s martial arts
training to a new level. Students gain confidence as they are
able to go to new and unfamiliar locations for Taekwondo events
and perform their material for a staff of friendly black belts
and instructors. All a student need to do is sign up for one of
these events as they are announced in their studio then go and
do the best that they can.

At the next class after the event the student will be awarded
with a red star for their dedication to
enhancing their martial arts training.

Help At A Demonstration / Event

Our students are a great example of the wonderful benefits of
martial arts and when one of our students takes time out of
their busy week to help their taekwondo school, we really
appreciate it.

We’d like to reward these students with a red star
for their Victory Patch for every taekwondo event or
demonstration they help out with.

Bring A Friend To Class

It is a very special thing for one of our students to want to
share their enjoyment of martial arts with a friend. When one of
our Karate for Kid or Tiny Tiger members bring in a friend for a
fun night of taekwondo we’ll present the student with a very
special silver star for their Victory Patch.
