Congratulations to our Students

Chief Instructor, Mitchell Church, of Performance Martial Arts Academy announces the results of his students who recently competed in the Valdosta Super Regional Taekwondo Championships held here at the VSU P.E. Complex. Mr Church extended appreciation to the Mayor of Valdosta, John Gayle and President of Valdosta State University, William McKinney for their support and attendance. “I cannot say enough thanks about how our community provided support and sponsorship for this event. Our students and parents went the extra mile to ensure the event was a success. We had over two thousand spectators and approximately eight hundred competitors from across the southeastern United States.” said Church. “I have received calls all week from the high ranking Masters who attended and they were impressed with courtesy and hospitality of the event.”

The Valdosta Super Regional Taekwondo Championships results are:

Fourth and Fifth Degree Black Belt Division:
Mark Webb – placed first in Traditional Forms, Traditional Weapons, Sparring, Creative Forms,Creative Weapons, Extreme Forms, and Extreme Weapons.

Jennifer Powell – placed second in Traditional Forms and Sparring. She placed first in Traditional Weapons.

Jennifer Hardy – placed 2nd in Traditional Forms, Traditional Weapons and
Sparring. She placed first in Combat Weapons.

Second and Third Degree Black Belt Division:

Charlie Akins – placed third in Sparring and Combat Weapons.

Margaret Sprott – placed third in Traditional Weapons and second in Sparring and Combat Weapons.

First Degree Black Belt Division:
Christian Dawson – placed first in Traditional Forms. He placed second in Traditional Weapons, Sparring and Combat Weapons.
Lukas Smidtas – placed second in Traditional Weapons. He placed third in Combat Weapons and Sparring.
Tyler Howell – placed third in Sparring.

Valdosta Super Regional Tournament T-Shirts

Valdosta Super Regionals T-ShirtsThe March 1st, 2014 Tournament T-Shirts are now available to pre-order when you register online for the Valdosta Super Regional Tournament.  T-Shirts will also be available, in limited quantities on the day of the tournament.

The tournament will be held at the Valdosta State University P.E. Complex, Taekwondo competitors from Georgia, Florida and other parts of the country are expected to be in attendance. As well as the American Taekwondo Associations Grand Master Emeritus Soon Ho Lee, as well as many other regional Taekwondo Master.

The event is open to the public with tickets being sold for $10 at the door, so come and enjoy as amazing sports event!

Panama City This Weekend!!

We have quite a few students headed to Panama City Beach for Grand Master Emeritus’ tournament this weekend. Everyone has been training very hard and we are looking forward to seeing our students compete. We wish everyone the best of luck!
