Mini-Tournament March 31, 2012
We will be having a mini-tournament on Saturday, March 31, 2012. All students are welcome to compete!! This will be a great tournament to be involved in, especially if it is your first tournament. Please sign up at your academy so that we can have a better count of how many competitors we will be having.
Competitions will begin at:
8:30 AM for adults
9:15 AM for Tiny Tigers (basic)
9:45 AM for Basic
10:15 AM for Leadership (4-8)
11:00 AM for Leadership (9-12)
Prices are:
Forms and sparring – $35
Weapons – $20
Combat Weapons – $20
All Other Events – $20

What and amazing day for the those in attendance today! Top Ten tournament was simply awe inspiring with the best of the best, from around the world battling in Songahm (traditional) Forms and Sparring. Mr. Webb and Mrs. Powell both started their days of in the forms competitions, both had excellent forms and placed fifth and fourth in the world – remember that is in the world! Wow.
In Sparring Mrs. Powell, Ms. Johnson, and Mr. Vialdores each competed in there divisions Top Ten Sparring. Mrs. Powell Made and excellent showing placing 3rd in the World for her division. While Ms. Brittney Johnson fought to the final rounds of sparring placing 2nd in the World for her respective division. Meanwhile across the floor the quite Mr. Ali Vialdores was battling to the final round, in a awesome showing Mr. Vialdores made his School, Instructor and Family proud, winning the World Championship in Sparring for 1st degree black belts, men 30 – 39. Mr. Vialdores was overwhemled with joy and accomplishemnt and he recieved his World Title Ribbon, and Medalion.
It was back to hotels for a quick change and then to the 2010 Opening Ceremony & Masters Ceremony held in the Verizon Arena. What a show it was, to check out reboadcasts of the show go to www.ataondemand.com

On Saturday September 25 over 50 students of the Performance Martial Arts Academy’s of Valdosta, Hahira, Moody AFB, and Lake Park attended in the schools semi-annual Mini-Tournament. This was an American Taekwondo Association’s sanctioned Class “C” event.
These tournaments introduces the students to the ATA’s fun and energetic side of taekwondo, building and individual confidence and working towards “Positive Mental Attitude” and “High Goal Setting”, two of our schools main goals.
With competitions in traditional Songahm Forms, Weapons and Sparring (for higher ranking color belts and black belts), students were able to put their training to the test and show just how much they had learned and accomplished. By days end all those that attended from Tiny Tigers to Black Belts, from competitors, judges and spectators alike, the words that rang true most was “Awesome”.

ATA Tournament (class “c”), held May 30th, 2009 at the Performance Martial Arts Academy of Valdosta, GA – Tournament Sponsor 5th Degree Mitchell Church.
Competitions were held in traditional (Songahm) Forms, Weapons, Sparring, and XMA freestyle and weapons. All competitors are from the (3) Performance Martial Arts Academies located in Valdosta, Hahira, and Moody AFB.

Valdosta Tournament – Job Well Done
This past Saturday the Performance Martial Arts Academy? sponsored a Class “C” ATA Mini-Tournament, with competitors gathering from the Valdosta, Haira, and Moody AFB Schools.?? Competitions were held in Traditional Taekwondo Forms, Weapons, Sparring as well as XMA Forms and Weapons, it was an exciting day had by all competitors and fans alike.
5th Degree Black Belt Mitchell Church was not only the event sponsor and senior ranking official, but also the days birthday-boy, being surprised with an awesome cookie cake and a rousing rendition of “Happy Birthday” by his students.
As the admin of this site, I would like to congratulate all those that competed, and thank the judges as well as all the parents and individuals that assisted in helping with this successful Mini-Tournament.
